sad.gif I bred a dwarf hotot to a holland lop both very good type for breed. Buck holland lop was young but created the kits. Doe, an older dwarf hotot which I received in a raffle at a rabbit show in Orland,CA ( yeah I know never think the best for raffle rabbits, which it was just the opposite) ANyway she had 6 all dark colored. None were in the nest box even tho she scrached at that box bottom for days! All were dead scattered on the wire. One managed to travel outside her cage to the ground where it died. One laso had a small nick or bite mark on its head. From all the info I've managed to gather from surrounding people--Dwarf Hotot are difficult to breed, difficult to have a live litter, blah, blah blah. I actually talked to the owner of the doe at the next show at Orland(?) and she said that the dwarf hotot had a mumified baby in her uterus and therefore would never have any kits. Well, I proved that wrong, but why would a dwarf hotot be any more difficult that any other breed. I just have the one. I breed New Zealand Reds, Mini Rex and Californians. with no problems so far. Thanks for any advice etc

Maybe, since she's an outdoors rabbit, she is pregnant and building a nest. (???)
